When the royals stepped out for Remembrance Sunday, many noticed that Queen Elizabeth II was wearing a total of five poppies, Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall was wearing three, and Kate Middleton was wearing just one.
They attended a service at The Cenotaph to commemorate members of the British and Commonwealth Armed Forces killed in WWI and WWII, alongside Prince Charles, Prince William, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
Many questioned why the Queen was wearing more poppies than her royal counterparts, and while the reason hasn’t been confirmed by Buckingham Palace it seems that it is possibly to represent each service in the World Wars – the Army, the Navy, the RAF, the Civil Defence and women.

Previously, the Queen has worn three poppies but this year opted for five, while Camilla wore three which could also indicate that the Queen is the highest ranking dignitary as the head of the Royal Family.
This weekend was the first time that the Fab Four reunited publicly, as Prince William and Meghan Markle were together for the first time since baby Archie’s christening.
However, despite their joint appearance it didn’t stop the rift rumours as William and Kate were sat away from Harry and Meghan at the Royal Albert Hall for the Royal British Legion’s annual Festival of Remembrance on Saturday night.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge sat to the Queen’s right, while Prince Charles and Camilla sat to her left.

The couples also arrived separately, fuelling speculation that there is a royal ‘feud’, although Harry was quick to quash the rumours during his appearance on the documentary, Harry & Meghan: An African Journey.
He said: ‘We are brothers. We will always be brothers. We are certainly on different paths at the moment but I will always be there for him as I know he will always be there for me.
‘We don’t see each other as much as we used to because we are so busy but I love him dearly. The majority of the stuff is created out of nothing but as brothers, you know, you have good days, you have bad days.’
