These Girls Have The Cutest Hair On Instagram When my ex-boyfriend and I broke up, the first thing I did was drastically change my hair. I sat in the hairdresser’s seat, surrounded by little piles of the hair that formerly took residence atop my head, knowing full well that I’d just become a cliche, (but giving the necessary amount of fks for the situation: i.e, none). There’s a reason such cliches exist. Nothing signifies turning over a new leaf quite like a ‘new hair, new me’ situation does. You are metaphorically and literally shedding your old identity, paving the way for a fresh and better one to emerge (kind of like a caterpillar-to-butterfly metamorphosis, but infinitely more *chic*). Changing your hair is fun. It can pull you out of a rut. Something as smol as having a single platinum blonde streak painted along your hairline can make you feel like a brand new woman. Trading in mermaid locks for a cute long bob that grazes your shoulders can open you up to a whole new world of dressing (plus free up all the time you used to spend on grooming in order to chase more fulfilling pursuits), and vice versa. Going au naturel with your curls is liberating. Growing your hair out is rewarding. In all its different forms, no matter how ~daring~ or ~subtle~, changing up your hair is a certified good time. Since it’s pretty apparent that we spend a disproportionately large amount of our time lurking Instagram, it was only a matter of time before we invited you along to witness our unofficial ‘Cutest Hair On Instagram’ awards.
