Sydney Hartzell On Interning At Glossier “I’m currently a student at NYU, studying the intersections of business, psychology and computer science. I couldn’t be more grateful for my interning experience at Glossier. The team was a community of mentors and friends who constantly inspired me. Emily Weiss is incredibly authentic and driven, it clearly shines through in everything she does. Startups are fascinating to me because they’re dynamic and collaborative—every day brings new challenges, I find that very rewarding. Gaining first-hand experience in any field is incredibly important. “I’m a HUGE fan of ITG, so I’m always reading about new tips and tricks. One of my faves is putting moisturiser in the fridge so it’s really cooling when you put it on. I have super sensitive and dry skin, so I like gentle products that hydrate. I’m consistent with my products and don’t change them often because I know they work for me. I love Bioderma to remove makeup, Milky Jelly Cleanser to clean my skin, and the original La Mer moisturiser. I use Glossier concealer under my eyes, CoverGirl Lashblast mascara, Glossier Haloscope in moonstone or topaz, and a tinted lip balm on my lips and cheeks. Sometimes I’ll use Mac lipstick in Paramount. It’s my favourite shade because Jennifer Aniston wore it in Friends. On weekends, I’ll try a smokey eye or bright lip if I’m feeling experimental, however I usually feel more comfortable wearing less makeup.
