Dana Boulos On Crappy Hair Cuts And Keeping Motivated “My advice for aspiring directors is start making work ASAP! If you’re interested in directing, grab a notebook, write down ideas, talk to your friends, and see who would be interested in working with you on bringing those stories to life. Nothing great ever came easy so keep working hard. I took a course in high school for cinematography and fell in love with directing. I directed my first music video for a friend of mine which premiered in Noisy. Directing is all I want to do in life. You have to shoot consistently if you want to make it your profession. Even when I go through hell, I keep going. No one or thing will ever stop me! I have an agenda book—I write everything that I need to get done per week in it, but I still make time for my loved ones.” “…I dyed my hair for the first time recently and it just got completely ruined. I went to a hair salon to get a more natural colour but the hair stylist made it black. I liked it for the first two weeks, but the more I brushed my hair, the more hair started to fall out, so I grabbed scissors and cut it all off. I’m growing it back naturally and never dying my hair again [laughs]! It has changed the way I dress—I feel like I wear more low-cut shirts and dresses now.” “…Arrow Dewilde is the most stylish, daring and magical human on this planet. I haven’t seen such power, style and attitude in a long, long time—I love it! My style definitely has been influenced by my upbringing. My mother and I traveled a lot to see my family who moved from Lebanon to Europe during the war. I don’t follow any trends. I tend to love vintage pieces that are futuristic, classic and daring. Fashion to me means dressing in whatever the hell you want! You make the rules :)” Instagram @danaboulos | Photographer @kristenjanwong The post Dana Boulos On Crappy Hair Cuts And Keeping Motivated appeared first on CHRONICLES OF HER. Jai Kaldor
