Neutral Territory     Wearing: Marni trousers, Jacquemus shirt, YSL sunglasses, Ancient Greek Sandals   If you thought that the neutral trend was fleeting, think again. It’s time to inject your wardrobe with tones of earthy browns, caramels and nudes and make the most of this colour palette that gives our minimal wardrobes that much needed warmth and added dimension. Find your tone. All our skin tones are beautiful and unique and some neutrals look better on certain skin types. For example I have olive skin with more of a pink undertone so I love darker, earthier neutrals like chocolate browns and muted, unsaturated beiges. I literally tried on two nude jumpers today, one with more of an orange tone, and the other with more of a pink tone to make sure I’m picking the right one for me. How to style them. They’re perfectly styled with whites and black as well as other shades of neutral.  Blacks give it that dark, sophisticated edge while the whites freshen it up. Going tonal with other neutrals is beautiful and feminie. A side note, this elevated Jacquemus shirt perfectly complements the simplicity of the trousers. I’ve been lusting after this label for years, and love that the shirting is now a staple for the brand. When you’re picking out your first neutral to inject into your existing wardrobe, consider what you’ll be wearing it with and what your wardrobe actually needs. I’m personally lacking in great trousers, easy dresses and lightweight knits, so this is what I’ll be focusing on this season. The best part about this trend is that it’s a neutral so it’s always in fashion. Pick classics and elevated pieces you can wear time and time again and styled in multiple ways.   *Shot in collaboration with LUISAVIAROMA   Photos by Ana Sunday-Tanedo   Harper and Harley
