Becoming a royal family member makes you vulnerable to speculation, with no one knowing this more than Meghan Markle.

Yes, whether it’s about the upbringing of her son Archie or her personality within the palace walls, the Duchess of Sussex has definitely been victim to the dreaded rumour mill.

This was proven recently as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were reported to have imposed a parking ban near their Frogmore Cottage home, by tabloid The Sun.

The paper had reported in April that the Sussex family had requested for a Windsor Castle staff carpark to be moved as it overlooked their home. This however has now been announced to be incorrect, with the Independent Press Standards Organisation now ruling that The Sun had ‘not provided any direct evidence’ of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s involvement in the changes.

‘An article headlined ‘NOT IN MEG BACK YARD’ (12 April) reported that the Duke & Duchess of Sussex had banned staff from using a car park near Frogmore Cottage,’ read the public apology from The Sun this week, following the ruling.

‘We now accept that the parking changes were not requested by the Duke & Duchess. We are happy to correct the record and apologise for any distress caused.’
