Olivia Wilde 'blames' Harry Styles after receiving legal papers on stage

https://ift.tt/iVM8usg

hairstyles for square faces Olivia Wilde

Olivia Wilde was taken aback when she was handed legal papers on stage at CinemaCon earlier this month, but reportedly blames Harry Styles for the ordeal.

The 38-year-old actor was in the midst of discussing her new film Don’t Worry Darling in Las Vegas, which stars her now-boyfriend, and is slated for release in September, until she was interrupted mid-speech.

While the spotlight was on her, Olivia was handed a brown envelope, which was reportedly custody papers from her ex-fiancé Jason Sudeikis, who have Otis and Daisy together.

The moment apparently caught her off guard, as onlookers have claimed Olivia questioned “This is for me?”, before she read the first page.  On realising what the document was she swiftly returned to her presentation.

Olivia is frustrated about the whole ordeal, and has reportedly blamed the As It Was hitmaker for it, as rumours surrounding the couple being engaged have been growing in recent weeks, and she never wanted her personal life to take the focus away from her career.

A source told The Sun Online“Olivia was furious – she wants the focus to be on the film she’s worked so hard on, not on her personal life.

“She has no idea why it happened, but she suspects it could have something to do with the rumours she’s engaged to Harry.”

The insider has alleged Jason, 46, had nothing to do with the delivery of the documents, and wouldn’t agree to it being carried out in the “inappropriate manner” it was served.

The source went on: “Mr. Sudeikis had no prior knowledge of the time or place that the envelope would have been delivered as this would solely be up to the process service company involved and he would never condone her being served in such an inappropriate manner.”

Olivia and Harry have been dating since 2021, when they met on set of the movie, which Olivia directed, shortly after she split from Jason in late 2020.

The Ted Lasso actor and Olivia started dating in 2011, two years before they got engaged in 2013, although they never married. However, they decided to part ways after almost 10 years together in November 2020.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle reportedly told to 'stay away' from Queen's Platinum Jubilee

The Queen will celebrate her Platinum Jubilee in June with a four-day weekend, but in the run up to the major milestone even more engagements are underway to celebrate her 70-year reign.

There has been growing speculation over whether Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will be attending the upcoming celebrations.

However, it has been reported the Duke and Duchess of Sussex – who have Archie and Lilibet together – have been asked to avoid the celebrations in fear of overshadowing the Queen’s special day – after all, she is the first British monarch to have reached the milestone and held the longest reign over England.

Speaking on the Mail Online’s show Palace Confidential, Richard Eden aired his thoughts on Harry and Meghan’s attendance.  He said: “I really get the impression that Harry and Meghan are loving all the speculation about whether they’ll come for the Jubilee or not.

“What should be the wonderful celebrations of the Queen’s amazing long reign, instead it’s sort of becoming this saga or will-they-won’t-they-come?”

While Editor, Richard Kat, weighed in on the matter, as he believes it is “tragic” Her Majesty is surrounded with family feuds and ongoing rows.

He added: “I think it’s tragic for her. The last thing she wants is these ongoing, bitter rows with her own grandchildren and the family.

“They had so much trouble in the 1990s which they had hoped they had put behind them, but this is somehow even worse and it must be enormously difficult for her and quite despairing.”

Throw into the mix the growing concern around the 96-year-old monarch’s health and welfare, and speculation if she will be able to attend her own birthday celebration at the annual Trooping of the Colour.

Plans are in place to ensure the Queen is able to attend the 2 June celebrations, which take place at Buckingham Palace and along The Mall.

It has previously been reported the British monarch will swap travelling in her royal carriage in favour of her Range Rover for the first time ever, and she will take the trip from Buckingham Palace to the Horse Guards Parade by 4×4 during Trooping the Colour as part of her contingency plan for the day.

It has still yet to be confirmed if the Queen will be able to make Trooping the Colour, or stand on the balcony to watch the parade unfold with her royal relatives like tradition, and her attendance “will be decided on the day.”

Dame Helen Mirren shares her lessons in love - and we're here for it

https://ift.tt/Oqhm4DY

The Queen’s epic Jubilee party plans have just been revealed – Helen Mirren

Dame Helen Mirren is an icon in many ways, and now adding to the mix is a love guru.

The 76-year-old actor has been married to husband Taylor Hackford for almost 25 years, ever since they wed in 1997, although they were together for 10 years prior to tying the knot.

The Queen actor has shared her tips for a long lasting relationship, and part of it is “unconditional praise”, and keeping your own identity.

Speaking to PEOPLE, the movie legend said: “You know, I believe in unconditional praise from one’s loved ones. I don’t want any criticism. And I give him unconditional praise likewise — more or less.  We allow each other to do our own thing, and get on with it.”

“A really important part of love is to maintain your own sense of identity. In a way, that’s the most important thing of all, to not subsume yourself into someone else, far from it. Be honestly and authentically who you are.”

“It’s work. And it’s very important to allow the person you love to be who they are — even if [sometimes] you don’t like it very much.”

Despite Helen and Taylor being together for many years, she believes the coronavirus pandemic brought them even closer together.

She explained: “I’ve worked every year since I was 20.  COVID was the first time in the whole of my life I’ve not worked for six months.

“[Many people] were suffering through that terrible, terrible time, but what was valuable for me was that I got to spend time with my husband and sit across the table from him every night for six months — which I’ve never done before — and not worry about or even think about work.”

Helen has admitted she is “constantly” learning new things about her husband, and reaching new depths in her relationship.

She shared: “You’re constantly discovering, learning about the person you love, who suddenly, completely surprises you. You find depths of courage or patience or generosity or that you just didn’t know were there.”

Dominic West told The Crown producers they cast 'the wrong person'

https://ift.tt/Lr3HBaC

Dominic West
Dominic West attends dunhill's pre-BAFTA filmmakers dinner

The Crown is set to return for a fifth and sixth season, with filming for the fifth instalment underway.

Dominic West has been cast as Prince Charles in the upcoming series, but the offer took him by surprise.

The 52-year-old actor has revealed when he was approached about the role he told producers they had “cast the wrong person” and had some reservations.

Speaking to The Mail Online, The Wire star said: “It’s quite disconcerting as I didn’t look anything like him when I looked in the mirror.  I kept telling the producers that they had cast the wrong person.

“But they explained that this was not a show of imitations. But that was difficult as this is a real person who is hugely famous and recognizable.”

But it turns out Dominic has more in common with the Prince of Wales than he realised, as he has met the 73-year-old previously. Dominic’s wife, Catherine Fitzgerald, has a longstanding friendship with Prince William and Harry’s father, and share a fascination with gardening.

Throw into the mix the strange coincidence that Dominic and Charles also live near one another.  West is believed to live near to Charles’ Highgrove country estate.  We think he’s perfect for the role.

The fifth series of the hit Netflix Show will see Dominic take over from Josh O’Connor as the Queen’s son.

The forthcoming instalment will document the royal goings on in the nineties, which includes Prince Charles and Princess Diana’s divorce.

Dominic will be accompanied on set by his son, Senan West, who will portray Prince William, after his audition tape caught the creative teams’ attention.

A date for the new series has yet to be confirmed, so stay tuned for more details – we can’t wait!

It’s safe to say Dominic has a busy schedule as he is also set to star in Downton Abbey. It’s a busy year for Dominic.

The Uniqlo x Marni collab is all I want right now

https://ift.tt/I7uEK9N

There are so many fashion collaborations happening these days that it’s hard to get too excited about them, however the Uniqlo x Marni collection is well worth taking notice of.

So it’s time to pop a note in your diary for the 19th May, because that’s when it launches, and it’s going to sell out fast. Who wouldn’t want an Italian designer piece at a high street price?

As we’ve come to expect from Marni, this collaboration is full of playful prints and clashing colours, while Uniqlo brings its expertise to the mix with smart designs and technical fabrics.

This translates into exclusive warm graphic prints created especially, monochromes and patterns, and a twist provided by relaxed silhouettes and bold balloon volume updates staples for everyday use.

Standout styles include the dynamic cocoon silhouette BLOCKTECH coat, and a pyjama set with a drape that seems to flow, both of which are unisex. For women, I love the balloon skirt, which features diagonal pleating for a voluminous and can be matched with a sleeveless blouse in the same colour palette for a coordinated look.

In the menswear section, I’ll be stealing the tailored jacket and gingham shirt.

Francesco Risso, Creative Director at MARNI, said, ‘I’ve been hugely excited about this collaboration since the start. Throughout the whole process we have always championed Uniqlo’s ethos and the integrity that lies behind the brand’s vision, giving our interpretation of Uniqlo’s LifeWear through a slightly out-of-the-box proposition that combines impeccably crafted clothes with MARNI’s offbeat and life-embracing spirit. I really hope that wearers feel good, that they feel themselves, that they feel free.’

Prices start at just £12.90 for a pair of socks, while the aforementioned skirt will be priced at £59.90. It launches on 19th May.

How to protect your maternal mental health, if you're expecting or just gave birth

https://ift.tt/R3vlF1L

1 in 5 new mums are affected by a mental health disorder of some kind.

Maternal mental health: A Mixed race woman holding baby and using laptop

Did you know? 800,000 new mothers are affected by a maternal mental health disorder each year in the US. Although one in five new mums will be affected, only 25% get treatment, with 75% going without professional evaluation at all.

Worldwide, between 10 to 20% of women who have just given birth will experience a mental health condition, according to the World Health Organisation. In the US, while one in eight women report symptoms of depression after giving birth, over 50% of pregnant women with depression are not treated, according to the CDC.

“While mental health in general is becoming more widely discussed and accepted in popular culture – just look at the reaction to brave athletes like Naomi Osaka and Simone Biles who spoke out about their mental health – there is still a lingering stigma that can prevent many people from seeking treatment and support when they’re struggling,” explains maternal mental health expert and chief medical officer at LifeStance Health doctor Anisha Patel-Dunn.

“For new mums, the chaos, stress and expectations associated with the initial months of motherhood can often trigger mental health concerns that feel misplaced during what is supposed to be an exciting and happy time,” she continues.

Add the year of lockdown to the mix and – yep, you guessed it – it’s no surprise that many mental health clinicians are seeing an increase in both the severity and frequency of cases at current. The COVID-19 pandemic caused social isolation for many – but especially for new mums, may of whom had to give birth in a hospital bed alone.

That’s why we’ve spoken to Patel-Dunn. Here, she shares her wisdom, breaking down why maternal mental health issues need to be addressed more, plus her five top tips for new mums or mums-to-be keen to safeguard their own mental health during such a period of change.

Remember: you are not alone.

Maternal mental health: how to protect your wellbeing as a new mum

Also referred too as maternal mental health, the phrase is primarily used to describe a woman’s mental state during pregnancy and the first year after birth, shares Patel-Dunn.

“All women can experience a mental health condition during this time, and it’s important to remember that there’s no one face to maternal mental health,” she continues. “Someone’s internal experience could be different from what they’re projecting externally, and every person’s individual experience is going to be very unique.”

Perinatal mental health: Close up of Black mother playing with baby boy

Maternal mental health issue symptoms

Aka, what are the main symptoms you might experience if you’re struggling with your mental health as a new mum? There are a whole range of mental health disorders you could face, from depression, to anxiety, to PTSD, to trauma.

As a new mum, it’s very common to experience a range of emotions following your baby’s birth, shares Patel-Dunn. These include:

  • Sadness
  • Loneliness
  • Anxiety.

“You’ll sometimes have heard these feelings referred to as the baby blues,'” Patel-Dunn continues.

If you’re finding it difficult to get through the day or care for yourself or your baby, you may be experiencing a more serious condition called postpartum depression. Symptoms of postpartum depression can include:

  • Feeling hopeless
  • Feeling helpless
  • Questioning your ability to take care of your newborn
  • Low sense of self
  • Low self-esteem
  • Inability to sleep
  • Difficulty concentrating.

Again, Patel-Dunn stresses here that everyone’s mental health experiences will be different. “Whether you are experiencing mild or severe symptoms, it’s extremely important to reach out for help and support,” she stresses.

Perinatal mental health: mother holding happy child

Maternal mental health resources

Know this – Patel-Dunn wants all new mums to feel encouraged enough to ask for help, if they need it.

“There are all kinds of resources – both virtual and in-person – that can help, regardless of what you’re going through,” she explains.

1. Don’t be afraid

First tip from Patel-Dunn: don’t be afraid to ask for help.

“It could be a loved one, a friend or a family member,” she explains. “Just remember, they won’t mind offering assistance if you need help getting an appointment with a mental health provider.”

Got that? You are not a burden, so don’t talk yourself into thinking you are one.

2. Utilise local support groups

Once you’ve opened up about what you’re going through, Patel-Dunn says that finding a supportive community can be very beneficial when recovering from a maternal mental health condition.

“A great place to start is looking up local online support groups or help hotlines in your area,” she shares.

Not sure where to start? Try the following for helpful resources and more information generally:

3. Talk to a qualified professional

Okay, so you spoke to your partner / friend / family member, and then read up on the thousands of other women worldwide who are going through what you’re going through.

Next up: it’s time to check in with a professional so they can help you decide the best course of action. “A licensed therapist can help you understand and overcome a mental health condition,” explains Patel-Dunn.

Our guide to online therapy and the best mental health apps currently available may just help.

4. Try medication

Medication won’t be for everyone, and you should only opt for meds if your doctor has prescribed them, but often, they can help with sleep problems, anxiety issues and symptoms of depression, too, the health professional explains.

5. Prioritise self care

For new mums and mums-to-be, it can be difficult to find the time to prioritise self care, explains Patel-Dunn.

However, it’s a super important step to support your overall mental health, she stresses. Why? Well, because ‘by taking care of your mental health, you will be better able to manage stressors when they do arise,’ she explains. Plus, ‘you’ll have an overall better quality of life.’

Read our guide to the best self care ideas – that are totally free! – now if you need a little inspiration on that front.

And before you go, know this: just as postpartum physical recovery is different for each mum, mental health may look different as well, shares the expert. “The best way to end the stigma around mental health conditions, including those impacting new mums, is to encourage candid conversations about what mental health looks like and bring awareness to the diversity of experiences,” she concludes.

William and Harry have never 'warmed' to Camilla and 'tolerated her at best'

https://ift.tt/sn4vJOI

This month, two royal biographies have been sparking headlines about life behind closed doors for the royal family. Between them there have been a number of royal revelations and claims – from Prince William’s allegedly ‘fiery temper’ in private to Prince Harry seeking therapy from MI6.

While Robert Jobson’s William at 40: The Making of a Modern Monarch focuses on the Duke of Cambridge’s life, journalist Tina Brown’s biography, The Palace Papers: Inside the House of Windsor, the Truth and the Turmoil, shares stories about many members of the household.

In her book, the royal insider has claimed that Prince Harry wanted to marry Meghan Markle ‘as quickly as possible’, something which reportedly concerned William, and that the brothers feud has been going on longer than originally thought.

But she also discusses their relationship with Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, who married their father Prince Charles in 2005.

Charles and Camilla dated in the early 1970s, but when their relationship ended she went on to marry Andrew Parker Bowles, and years later Charles married the late Princess Diana. However, they began having an affair in the 80s – which Charles has publicly acknowledged – and when he and Diana split in 1992 Charles officially rekindled his relationship with Camilla.

Although over the years Charles, Camilla and the two Princes have been frequently spotted together during royal engagements, Brown claims that William and Harry never ‘warmed’ to her.

The author claims that following his divorce from the late Princess Diana and before going public with Camilla, Charles hired public relations executive Mark Bolland in 1996 to help improve the Duchess of Cornwall’s public image and ‘win acceptance’ from the public.

She writes: ‘One carefully managed myth peddled by Bolland was that the boys had warmed to Camilla. But they tolerated her at best.

‘In his early thirties, Harry was still complaining bitterly to friends that Camilla had converted his old bedroom at Highgrove, Charles’s Gloucestershire estate, into an elaborate dressing room for herself.’

The Palace has not yet commented on the claims.

Why the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge always fly with BA

https://ift.tt/vfsHGp1

LOS ANGELES, CA - JULY 10: Prince William, Duke of Cambridge and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge depart LAX airport on a British Airways scheduled flight on July 10, 2011 inLos Angeles, California. The newly married Royal Couple are on the final day of their first joint overseas tour to the USA. They arrived on Friday after spending 9 days in Canada. The couple started off their tour of North America by joining millions of Canadians in taking part in Canada Day celebrations which mark Canada's 144th Birthday. (Photo by Chris Jackson - Pool/Getty Images)

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are of course seasoned travellers, having travelled the world for their official duties. So much so, that they’ve become quite the experts.

Kate Middleton colour codes her luggage, has a packing hack we should all copy, and uses this trick so her coats don’t crease. The couple really have this travelling business down to a T, sticking to their tried and trusted habits.

One of these is apparently flying with British Airways, when they’re not using their royal private jet of course.

The royal family has been known to fly commercial on occasion, as well as chartering entire BA flights for themselves, as the company is their preferred travelling partner.

That’s not all though, the Duchess has a special connection with the company, and flew with them regularly long before she met Prince William.

Why? Because her parents Carole and Michael Middleton used to work for BA, and that’s how they met, according to the Daily Express. She was working as a flight attendant, while he was a flight dispatcher.

They of course later went on to quit their jobs and create their company, Party Pieces, which remains successful to this day.

So you might one day spot them on your flight, you never know. Prince Harry himself flew commercial on one of his latest visits to the UK.

That said, you definitely won’t see them milling around your local airport anytime soon, since they apparently have access to their very own royal lounge. Talk about VVIP.

MATIN: the sustainable Aussie label everyone is talking about

https://ift.tt/fteRpoD

When it comes to ethical fashion brands, there’s a lot of noise out there, with many claiming to be sustainable when they’re not. But now again, some stand out. One of these is MATIN, one of my favourite Australian fashion brands.

Founded in 2015 by Michelle Perrett, who also designs the collections, it’s amassed an impressive following of loyal customers, from editors to influencers and celebrities, all obsessed with its timeless and elegant dresses and tailoring.

Looking at the collections, it’s easy to see the appeal,  but it goes much deeper than a pretty outfit. Female-led MATIN was one of the first labels to truly embrace sustainability, and it wasn’t always easy. Here, Michele opens up about her journey.

Founder and designer Michelle

What was the inspiration behind the brand?

The idea for Matin came from the desire to create a contemporary collection which used high-quality natural fabrications in timeless styles with a fashion perspective. And it had to be made locally in Sydney, Australia. Matin is really about bringing everything I valued and sought out in a product, rolled into one.

Back when you launched, you were one of the first labels to embrace sustainability, was that a challenge?

The challenge around sourcing fabrics without the synthetic component was one we were and still are committed to overcoming. Finding natural fabrics that could translate into contemporary wardrobe staples takes time to get right. Also, there is definitely a premium cost associated with using natural fabrications – and producing locally – is something we continue to stand by as the key values of Matin.

What inspires the collections?

I’m always drawn to a moment in time; the 70s for me embraced freedom of expression in the way we celebrated arts, fashion, travel & culture. I look to the 70s for that mood, and subtly incorporate it into modern tailoring & dresses; it might be a peaked collar detail, an oversized pocket, a topstitch, or a keyhole neckline. There is always a hint of the decade in each Matin piece.

Do you steer clear of trends?

We have always been led by a pretty timeless idea on fashion; we stick to our lane and design pieces that will be worn time and time again, so in that sense, yes – Matin isn’t a trend-based label. From time-to-time though, something in a collection will fall into a current trend, but it’s typically a particular tailoring piece, such as a waistcoat or double-breasted jacket – both mainstays in the collection.

You are a female, family-owned business. What’s that like?

We’ve worked with the same team – including our sales & PR agencies – since the day we began. We work so well together – and know each other inside out – that things flow very quickly and intuitively. Over time comes that sense of familiarity (which also comes with family), that has cultivated quite open and honest communication between departments which paves the way for efficiencies across all areas of the business. We haven’t deliberately created a women-centric business, but the majority of our staff are women, and contractors are predominantly women-based businesses.

5 key steps to building your own personal brand

https://ift.tt/eijYKRn

As part of our Passion Pioneers campaign with GoDaddy, best-selling author and career expert Linzi Boyd shares her secrets on honing brand YOU and kick-starting your career...

Getty Images

Building a personal brand is a challenge, and with so many social media sites and networking platforms out there, it can seem impossible to keep on top of it all. But if you want to remain resilient in an uncertain market, it’s the only way.

Introducing Linzi Boyd: best-selling author of Brand Famous: How to Get Everyone Talking About Your Business and founder of BOB Schoola company that runs business and branding workshops across the world.

Linzi has built her career on helping people take their businesses from ideas to execution and create great personal brands that stand the test of time.

Our Passion Pioneers campaign with GoDaddy aims to inspire and empower people to pursue their passion projects and turn their career dreams into an entrepreneurial reality, whatever that may be.

As part of the special, we sat down with Linzi to hear her golden rules for creating a successful personal brand. Here is her advice…

5 key steps to building your own personal brand

1. Google yourself

Go in with the mindset “I am already a brand” and Google yourself to see how you’re showing up online. People will make an opinion of you within three seconds and they will lose interest if they can’t find you, so if you’re showing up as a murderer, or not at all, you need to audit your profile. Make your brand on the internet the one that you want it to be.

2. Build your google fame

Build your personal brand to attract the market, rather than being forced to sell yourself to the market. The better your profile on social media, the bigger your Google fame, and the greater value for you in your market.

3. Have a website

Whether you’re launching a brand or working a corporate job, build a website – even if it’s just a one-page WordPress site. You need a “house” for all of your work and information to sit in, increasing your Google fame, adding value to your brand and pulling the market. Through GoDaddy, you can buy a domain name, build a website and access easy to use marketing tools.

4. Speak it, Look it, Share it, Be it and Live it

  • Speak it: You are your brand, so always remember, whether you’re speaking on stage or out in the marketplace, be an ambassador for brand YOU.
  • Look it: Every time you walk into a room, people are analysing you before you’ve opened your mouth, so make sure you understand what the “look” of your brand is as well as what’s coming out of your mouth, “looking it” is just as important as “speaking it”.
  • Share it: It’s so easy to build your own network, and it’s so important as it can go with you to any job or business. The bigger the network, the bigger the database that you’ve got, giving you a following which is very important. If you write a book and you want to get it to number one quickly, you only have to push it out to your network, and if they’ve got a big following, they can potentially sell it for you.
  • Be it: Be the expert, think about what do you want to be an expert in, and then pursue it.
  • Live it: You’re a brand everywhere, both online and offline, so remember to live like your brand. If you end up doing something that doesn’t fit with your brand, you could be photographed, it could get put on social media, and before you know it that can end up being your personal brand.

5. Find your personal DNA

The market is so crowded, how are you going to make yourself stand out? Create a personal DNA of what you want to be known for and have it running through everything you do.

Olivia Wilde was served legal papers from ex Jason Sudeikis whilst on stage talking about new movie

https://ift.tt/uDtI0TA

Olivia Wilde opens up envelope on stage at CinemaCon

Ever since Olivia Wilde teased her new film Don’t Worry Darling, which stars Florence Pugh and Wilde’s boyfriend Harry Styles, we’ve been counting down the days until its release in mid-September.

Excitingly, on Tuesday the director took to the stage at CinemaCon in Las Vegas to share the first full trailer of the film and discuss the filming process. She said the psychological thriller project had been ‘ambitious’ and that she was influenced by films that ‘push the boundaries of our imagination.’

She also called Styles’perfomance ‘truly a revelation’, whilst also joking that he was ‘an up-and-coming actor with no other career that I’m aware of.‘ It’s one of the first times, the actor and director, has openly spoken about Styles. The couple have been the internet’s obsession since their relationship started in 2021.

However, whilst on stage, a woman from the audience got up and slid a manila envelope onto the stage. Thinking it was someone trying to cheekily get a script into her hands, Wilde took the envelope, asking, ‘This is for me?’ She then opened it on stage, and said ‘Okay, got it. Thank you.’ She then continued with her presentation of the film and said no more about it, but had to hold on to the envelope, which had ‘Personal and Confidential on it, for the entire time.

Olivia Wilde on stage with manila envelope

At the time, everyone in the audience was confused. Was that meant to happen? But it was later confirmed to People that what she had in fact been given were court documents regarding the custody of Wilde and her ex Jadon Sudeikis’ children – Otis, 8, and Daisy, 5.

The couple split up after 10 years together, two months prior to Wilde becoming official with the One Direction-star.

According to a source close to Sudeikis, ‘Mr. Sudeikis had no prior knowledge of the time or place that the envelope would have been delivered as this would solely be up to the process service company involved and he would never condone her being served in such an inappropriate manner.’

CinemaCom has said it will reevaluate its security measures following this rather bizarre and inappropriately timed exchange.

Sexual tension? Not at all...

Harry Styles and Olivia Wilde have been headline news since Harry’s headline performances at Coachella last week.

Not only was she seen dancing away in the crowd to her boyfriend’s set, but he’s since opened up about how he often felt “ashamed” of sex before dating her.

This week, while presenting her new movie Don’t Worry Darling to critics and industry professionals at CinemaCon in Las Vegas, the actress and director endearingly roasted her beau – and fans have gone wild.

Lightly trolling Harry’s – ahem, short-lived – acting career, she poked fun at the rather standout fact that he’s primarily a singer, not an actor, and hasn’t done an awful lot of professional acting before.

Labelling him as an “up-and-coming actor”, she then went on to add “… with no other career that I’m aware of.”

Given that Harry is a global icon with millions of fans all over the world, fans have been quick to comment.

Don’t worry, it wasn’t all mockery – she also took the time to praise his acting in the movie, calling his performance a “revelation.”

Harry has previously appeared in Christopher Nolan’s Dunkirk, but this will be his first major leading role.

He and Olivia have kept the details of their relationship under wraps since they hooked up in January 2021 after meeting on the set of the film.

Wilde wasn’t set to speak at the event but made an appearance as a surprise guest.

In a bizarre twist, while she was on stage, she got served with legal papers from her ex-partner, Jason Sudeikis. His team have said that he had no say in when the papers were delivered and would never have done it in such a public forum.

Talking about the other main character in the film, played by Florence Pugh, she said her performance is “something you have to see to believe,” adding, “you are witnessing the birth of a full-fledged movie star.”

The movie calls itself a psychological thriller and follows the life of a 1950’s housewife who lives in a utopian experimental community and has suspicions about the company her husband might be keeping.

Don’t Worry Darling is set to hit screens in September, and Harry’s third solo album, Harry’s House, will be released on May 20th.
