These Hair Tips Will Save You Every Time Aaaaand, we’re back at it again this week with the *fre$hest* tips from the fre$hest gal (me, Jai). Firstly I blessed y’all with the popular ‘denim lessons‘ write up, then I hit you with the best ‘6 beauty rules‘ I swear by… But now it only seems fitting (due to the fact that I woke up this morning and decided to chop like 60 inches off of my hair) to share with you my never ending ‘top tips’ on hair. It’s not a hidden fact that we encourage drastic change and go to drastic measures to spice up our look here at COH. I can tell you first hand that someone in our team has changed up their cut and colour AT LEAST 5 times within the last year (yep, you know who). So in saying that, doesn’t that give us pretty much the same experience has a qualified hair dresser?! Mhmm, I think so. And with that spiel I welcome you to my third instalment of the life lessons we’ve learned are COH: The Hair Care and Wear Edition. ADVICE TO LIVE BY Oil is your friend. Don’t be afraid to lather that bish on, specifically the Recovery Oil by Carelli. It is said to ‘smell like a massage at a spa, tames fly-a-ways and split ends without looking and feeling greasy’, need I say more? The shampoo from this line is also top notch, and targets dry scalps (hello summer) 2019. This product is magical for all hair types, and especially if you have frizzy hair… Actually if you have frizzy hair, this oil is your the best friend you never had! Cutting your hair regularly does not make it grow. Though it is a nice way to stay looking fresh, right? Trimming the ends of the hair does not affect the follicles in your scalp- which actually determine how much your hair grows. Though regular trims can make your hair look a little longer because ridding your hair of split ends reduces hair breakage, and breakage is what makes hair look thinner and shorter at the ends. Despite this, there are other ways to hurry along hair growth i.e by nourish your scalp with Christophe Robin’s Regenerating Mask with Rare Prickly Pear Seed Oil. By eating sources of Omega 3 fatty acids or just popping those O3 pillz ( we also swear by taking The Beauty Chef Collagen Inner Beauty Boost on the regular for a crystal clear complexion and a happy scalp). Or by strictly NEVER BRUSHING WET HAIR. Find out more here here and here. Blonde hair maintenance isn’t as hard as it seems. With the right products and attitude, it’s really a breeze! Georgia Osborne from Moody Hair  advised us to use good quality salon-bought products for low-maintenance blonde hair, and specifically recommended miracle products by French brand La Biosthetique. Our very own Mad Woon (a ‘lazy blonde’) was sucked into the La Biosthetique hole and now strictly swears by La Biosthetique Vital Protection Couleur Shampoo and Conditioner, as well as their hair lotion for a scalp thats dry from colouring and is in need of some extra luvvinnn. Oh and for heavens sake, find a hairdresser that listens and understands your wants and needs and stick to them! Carmen Hamiltons ‘textured hair’ is possible for you too!!! I get it. I really do… A year ago (before I started working here at COH) I was the first one to refresh the COH home page and await for Carmen to upload one of her ‘Carmen’s Messy Textured Hair‘ videos or her ‘Second Day Texture‘ tutorial. The Do seemed just so effortless and down right ~kewl~. The video is still a Saturday night styling tutorial for me and will be until the day the internet literally breaks. Thanks boss. Le Labo make the only shampoo and conditioner you should be buying. Pretty straight forward, read for yourself here. Any haircut/style is a good haircut/style. I mean, as long as you’re happy… But we’re not bias here at COH. We think you-do-you no matter what you’re in to. How are you meant to find what suits you best without testing the waters? Need Inspo for the hair dressers? These hair trends are a few of our favs this year, along side this rockin’ half-up half-down do. Need some Inso in general? These 9 chicky babes have caught out eye fo-shoo.
