48 Hours in Rome with Stuwart Weitzman

Ahhhh Rome, my new favorite city. I foolishly never knew what all the hype about Italy was about until I set foot on the streets of this ancient city. How magical it truly is!

I spent but a brief 48 hours in Rome, and I wanted to share some of my must-dos for the city. Needless to say, I would recommend spending a lot longer in Rome if you can! Two days was truly not enough.

Book your stay at the oh-so-stunning Hotel Lorcano. My friends and I like to describe this place as the Bowery Hotel of Rome (aka SO chic). Enjoy a late breakfast on their gorgeous patio, and start to map the day ahead.

Start by checking out the Piazza del Popolo and continue on to explore the lush Borghese Gardens. They are 1000% stunning. From there I would continue on to the MAXXI Modern Art Museum, designed by Architect Zaha Hadid.

From there, continue towards the Spanish Steps, and pit stop at Di quà for lunch. Their truffle pasta is amazing. After lunch, if you’re in the mood check out all of Rome’s famous shopping. I personally made a pit stop at both Celine and Gucci, and am very glad I did. Book dinner at Roscioli, but make sure to do so ahead of time because their reservations fill up!

On Day two after another lovely hotel breakfast I would recommend renting one of the bikes from Lorcano, and explore the city this way. Its a blast and one of my personal favorite ways to explore. Head over to the Fontana di Trevi for the perfect photo opp, and then continue on to the Colosseum, and lastly over to the Pantheon. Grab lunch at Armando, which is conveniently right next to the Pantheon.

After lunch, head over to the Vatican to check out the Sistine Chapel. While I didn’t actually have time to do this on my trip, I am totally bummed to have missed it! I have heard to book tickets a head of time, because it can get super busy.

Then catch a cab for a dinner at Osteria dal 1931, which is said to have been one of Anthony Bordain’s favorite in the city. Other notable restaurants: Emma, San Michele, Taverna Trilussa, and Angelina.

While in Rome, I almost exclusively wore my new Stuart Weitzman Morgot boots. They were the perfect companion to explore the city in style. I’m completely obsessed with the black velvet and rounded heel on them and love how easily they paired with every outfit I wore. Basically, they are kind of the perfect boot.

Shop my favorite boots for the season below, and enjoy exploring Rome!
