Everything You Need To Know About Chanel’s 2018/19 Cruise Collection Prior to the weekend just gone, the majority of my knowledge concerning cruises came via the stories of my 86-year-old grandma, a self-proclaimed cruise-enthusiast. From this day forward, however, whenever I hear the word ‘cruise’, my mind will be sure to drift to Chanel’s spectacular Cruise 2018/19 Collection, which went down in Paris over the weekend. Quite literally held on a giant faux cruise liner (titled the ‘La Pausa’), inside the inimitable Le Grand Palais, the show was the most extra, most spectacular event our eyes have been made privy to in a v long time. The CHANEL liner ‘La Pausa’, named after Gabrielle Chanel’s summer house on the French Riviera, provides the backdrop to the #CHANELCruise 2018/19 show at the Grand Palais in Paris. With all due respect to my grandmother and her thrilling tales of the high sea, the only cruise I’d ever want to embark on from hereon in is a Chanel-themed one. Literally just woke up in shock that I really opened and lead the finale of the @chanelofficial Cruise 2018/19 show last night at the Grand Palais and it was an absolute honour. No amount of words can even express what this moment means to me. Walking a Chanel show was a dream come true and a great achievement but now opening the show it blows my mind. It makes me so proud knowing that I am not only representing dark-skin models but also other models of colour from all around the world. This moment was a true celebration of us, our beauty and work.
