Joannah Jackson On Her ‘Less Is More’ Approach To Dressing Can you give us the Joannah Jackson elevator pitch?I’m a musician! I play guitar and sing in the band Sloan Peterson. What’s your thought pattern when getting dressed of a morning?I wake up super early every morning (I’m talking 6am every damn day)! My boyfriend’s not the best morning person and hates me rustling around, so I usually have to prepare what I’m wearing the night before. It’s generally my my flared jeans and a cropped striped t-shirt, or if it needs to be dressier, I’ll put a leather jacket with it. I like to keep with the rule ‘less is more’, and therefore keep everything super simple. I’m not much of an accessories gal, except for my vintage Gucci necker-chief, which doubles as a head scarf, and my Gucci black and gold belt. I do kinda wear those two things with everything. Where are your favourite places to shop, both online and IRL, and why?I get to travel fairly often, so I generally get most of my clothes from thrift stores all around the world. I’m very picky though, ‘cause I also don’t like to carry too much luggage around—I find the best items and take really good care of them.
