Prince Harry has given a sneak peek of his new LA home

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle may have relocated to Canada and then California, but they’re continuing to show their support for the UK during the coronavirus pandemic through Zoom calls, video messages and engaging with their patronages during the crisis despite stepping down as senior members of the royal family earlier this year.

The couple moved overseas following their royal resignation and are currently renting a paparazzi proof mansion in Los Angeles, although their privacy has become a concern following reports that they have spotted drones flying near their new home.

But Harry decided to give a sneak peek of his LA home during a Zoom call.

In a video shared by StreetGames, the Duke of Sussex was sat in his garden as he spoke to volunteers from sports and wellbeing charity, Sport at the Heart, which has been supporting local communities during the coronavirus outbreak.

The StreeGames organisation was founded in 2007 and was one of seven charities which received funding from donations on Harry and Meghan’s wedding. In the lead up to their big day, the Sussexes visited two projects in Cardiff.

The three helpers revealed that they had delivered food and sports equipment to families in the local area of Brent, North London, to which Harry replied: ‘You understand the importance of being outside and being able to use sport and outdoor activities, to not only keep yourselves physically fit, but mentally fit as well.’

At the end of the call, Harry also wished them well, saying: ‘Stay safe, be well, you’re doing such amazing work and thank you so much for being you, and just being so kind and compassionate and caring to others.’

How lovely!

William and Kate used a clever decoy at university to keep their relationship a secret

Prince William and Kate Middleton are one of the most famous couples in the world, but in the early days of their relationship they used a number of decoys in order to distract paparazzi from finding out that they were dating. They used a codename to keep their names out of newspapers and William set up a support hotline for Kate to help her adjust to life as a royal in the spotlight.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge met at the St Andrews University and were placed in the same dormitory during their first year of studies. They quickly became good friends, but nothing romantic happened between them as they were both seeing other people.

When William and Kate later started dating, they had a very clever way of keeping their relationship a secret. To appear as just friends during their second year at university, the moved in together – but with mutual friends.

Royal biographer Katie Nicholl told Vanity Fair: ‘Their bedrooms were on separate landings, but by this stage, it was nothing more than pretence.

‘William and Kate had fallen in love and were enjoying a conventional university romance, albeit one involving elaborate cover-ups and decoys.

‘In a bid to keep their relationship below the radar for as long as possible, they would leave the house at different times and arrive at dinner parties separately, and made a pact never to hold hands in public.’

Although they were able to keep things secret, in 2004 their relationship became public when they were spotted kissing during a ski trip.

They split briefly but rekindled their relationship shortly afterwards and went on to get married in 2011.

And the rest, as they say, is history!

Starbucks launches a pink flamingo frappuccino and it's an Instagram dream

starbucks pink flamingo frappuccino

Pink drinks are currently having a bit of a moment with pink prosecco coming to the UK very soon, Percy Pig cocktails getting us through lockdown and Lidl launching a pink gin.

So it makes sense that Starbucks will be offering a pink frapp, and it’s likely you’ll see it cropping up on your Instagram feed over the next few weeks.

Since the coffee shop closed alongside a number of food and drinks outlets as a result of the coronavirus pandemic, their at-home frappuccino recipe went viral and allowed customers to recreate the popular drink in their own kitchens.

But from 4th June, the Ruby Flamingo Frappuccino will be available across all UK stores and it sounds delicious.

The drink will contain real ruby chocolate pieces, raspberry flavoured syrup and pink whipped cream and will be a perfect cool, refreshing summer beverage.

The tangy taste is fruity, and looks like a bright pink dream.

Ruby chocolate is a relatively new find and has proved popular in recent years with its fruity flavour and chocolate texture. Belgian-Swiss cocoa company Berry Callebaut introduced it in 2017 and has seen various brands incorporating it into their products, including Magnum ruby ice creams.

The Mini Ruby Flamingo Frappuccino will set you back £3.45, while a Tall is £3.75 and the Grande is £4.

It will only be available for four weeks so if you want to try it you’ll have to get hold of one in June.

You can order one on the Starbucks UK app to pick up yours in store, and it’s also available for delivery on Uber Eats across 12 cities in the UK.

Happy Instagramming!

Meghan Markle has secretly been helping one of her royal patronages since royal exit

Since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stepped down as senior royals earlier this year, they have relocated overseas with their one year old son, Archie Harrison. Their first move was to Canada where they ‘enjoyed the quiet life’, and just before the lockdown they headed to the US.

The couple now reside in a paparazzi-proof mansion in Los Angeles, although there have been recent reports of privacy concerns at their rented property with multiple incidents of drones spotted around their home.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been busy doing all they can throughout the Covid-19 pandemic, delivering food to the critically ill in their area and making Zoom calls to show their support for various charities.

But Meghan has also been secretly helping one of her royal patronages, animal charity Mayhew, despite stepping down as a member of the royal family.

Sarah Hastelow told Newsweek: ‘She’s been such a champion of animals and animal welfare. It’s always been a passion of hers.’

She also said that the Duchess was been ‘in touch’ since lockdown but ‘couldn’t say more than that’.

Another source, reportedly from the Sussexes team, confirmed: ‘The Duchess is in touch and working with Mayhew at this time.’

They added that the charity is not just a ‘classic animal charity’ as they endeavour to help those ‘in the community’ during the global crisis, aiming to assist homeless individuals with pets who are struggling to find supplies.

Their website says: ‘We desperately need extra funds to buy supplies of food, litter, flea and worm treatment as our suppliers are running low.’

Meghan is a keen animal rights advocate and since the charity has experienced financial hardship as a result of the coronavirus outbreak. As Mayhew can no longer hold fundraising events due to the strict government guidelines on large groups gathering, she has reportedly been supporting and assisting them through the difficult times.

The Best Cellulite Creams 2020 For Smoother and Firmer Skin

https://ift.tt/2ZQJuZM

best cellulite cream

Like many women, I spend a few minutes every morning in front of the mirror moisturising every square inch of skin – and yes, looking for cellulite. Like the grow-out phase of a fringe, it’s annoying. But, spoiler alert: cellulite is completely normal. You don’t have to love it – because I certainly don’t love my dimply thighs and bum – but it is natural. And in the same way that you may not be able to completely slay wrinkles, you can significantly improve its appearance with the best cellulite creams and know-how.

What Even Is Cellulite?

Cellulite is, at the most basic level, fat that is sandwiched between your skin and muscles.

It’s thought that this fat pushes on the tissue bands that connect your skin to your muscles, making the skin dimple. Imagine skin poking through the tiny holes in a pair of fishnet tights and you get the picture.

It’s also pretty indiscriminate as it targets anyone, including Olympic athletes.

‘Between 80 and 90 per cent of women will experience cellulite at some point in their lives,’ says aesthetic doctor, Dr Sophie Shotter.

What Causes Cellulite?

That’s a little trickier to answer.

‘Hormones play a part, in particular oestrogen, the primary female sex hormone, although we don’t yet know why,’ says Shotter.

One theory is that oestrogen can encourage your body to produce more fat. So an imbalance between oestrogen and testosterone levels often causes cellulite. Taking the pill also increases your chances of getting it.

Another theory is that cellulite gets worse as women approach menopause because oestrogen levels decline. ‘Declining oestrogen levels cause fat cells to become larger, therefore making cellulite more visible,’ says Shotter.

Like we said, it’s still a grey area.

However, the reason more women get cellulite than men is the structure of our collagen, the main protein that makes up connective tissue.

‘In women the connective tissue bands are arranged vertically, allowing for fat to become compartmentalised in the pockets in between,’ explains Shotter. ‘In men they follow a criss cross pattern, which makes this less likely.’

Genetics also play a part, as your vulnerability to cellulite seems to be at least partly inherited.

‘This can come from genetic factors linked to speed of metabolism, distribution of fat under the skin and ethnicity,’ she adds.

How To Prevent Cellulite From Getting Worse?

There are a few different treatments, from body brushes to our pick of the best cellulite creams and serums, that go some way to helping you get rid of cellulite. In our experience, a combination of a few tends to make the most difference.

Body Brushing

Use a body brush at least three times a week and then rub one of the best cellulite creams into your skin afterwards.

‘Dry brushing can help to boost circulation, helping with oxygen delivery to affected areas and encouraging collagen production,’ says Shotter. ‘It also helps to improve lymphatic drainage.’

Toxins, which can build up in your layers of fat, and excess fluid are then eliminated in your waste.

Best Body Brush

This sturdy brush made from natural cactus bristles not only helps improve your circulation but it exfoliates your skin simultaneously. Win-win situation.

Massage

When you apply your cellulite cream, be sure to massage it in to increase blood circulation and reduce excessive amounts of fluid in areas that contain cellulite.

It’s also thought that by rubbing the skin, you cause it to temporarily swell for a more even-looking canvas.

The Right Ingredients in The Best Cellulite Creams

Be on the look out for caffeine or retinol.

‘Caffeine increases circulation to the affected area,’ says Shotter. ‘It is also thought to aid lipolysis, a process where the body sheds fat cells and skin appears temporarily smoother. Retinol, meanwhile, helps boost collagen production over time.’

And the thicker the skin is, the less visible cellulite bumps poking through will be.

Expert thinking currently suggests applying a cream with retinol first, followed by one with caffeine.

Other key ingredients are L carnitine, an amino acid which aids with fat burning, and antioxidants to protect collagen. ‘Additionally, centella asiatica increases blood flow and allows for better nutrient absorption,’ says Shotter.

But don’t expect miracles right away. Stick at it and combine your cream application with a low-salt diet, exercises to build lean muscle and drinking plenty of water to flush out toxins.

You’ll notice a marked difference in a matter of weeks.

What Kate Middleton 'didn't know before marrying Prince William'

https://ift.tt/3eyGlBM

Prince William and Kate Middleton celebrated their ninth wedding anniversary this year, and since their big day they have moved home, taken on more royal responsibilities and started a family.

Before they became the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, they started dating while studying at St Andrews and it was eight years before William got down on one knee.

To help Kate transition from university student to royal, William reportedly set up a hotline for Kate so that she felt supported as she adapted to life in the public eye.

However, according to journalist and author Catherine Mayer, there was one thing that Kate ‘didn’t know’ before she married the prince.

In the 2017 ITV documentary Kate: The Making of a Modern Queen, Mayer said: ‘The one thing I suppose she may not have known, and will now know, is just how peculiar royal life is.

‘It’s the strangest place I have ever spent time ‒ the palace.

‘Just that sense of never ever really being alone and the palaces are sort of strange old buildings that are all about actually being built for show, for people to look inwards, and so they’re really not about comfort, they’re really not about family life.’

Mayer also said that Kate will only now understand the proper etiquette and royal protocol involved in their daily lives, but revealed that she was ready to take on the role following her brief split from William in 2007.

During their engagement interview in 2010, Kate admitted that the break had upset her but ultimately made her stronger. Royal experts believe that the break up was a ‘testing period’ and made them realise they were destined to be together.

Mayer said: ‘I don’t think there’s anything at this stage that I could teach Kate about being a member of the Royal Family, because she clearly took to it very quickly.

‘But she also had this very interesting period in her relationship with the prince where they split up and got back together again, which was very clearly a testing period, a proving period, something where she had already been through the baptism of fire in terms of what it meant for destroying any chance of a private life she would ever had, and she went into it in that sense with her eyes open.’

The couple have gone from strength to strength over the years, and – as they say – the rest is history!

Prince William's feelings towards Kate Middleton's family have caused a stir

https://ift.tt/2XFa1Xj

Prince William and Kate Middleton have often spoken about their close-knit family, sharing sweet anecdotes about their three children – from Prince George’s love of ballet, to Princess Charlotte’s favourite snack and Prince Louis’ first word.

The Duke of Cambridge has also spoken about his close relationship with his father and grandmother, while Kate is also said to have a lovely bond with her parents.

However, a recent story about William’s feelings towards Kate’s family has caused a bit of a stir.

A report in the new issue of Tatler claims that Kate’s mother, Carole Middleton, is the ‘mummy [William] always wanted,’ and that their ‘family life is so soothing for him as it’s so different from his own family.’

The feature was written by journalist Anna Pasternak, who has previously written a book on Princess Diana’s relationship with James Hewitt.

She wrote: ‘In William’s eyes Carole and Micheal can do no wrong,’ then adding a quote from an anonymous source, claiming to be a friend of the Middletons, which read: ‘He absolutely adores them. Michael is charming. Really king, soft and gentle. William loves going to the country to stay with them. Their family life is so soothing for him as it’s so different from his own family.’

It continues that another insider allegedly added: ‘I’ve heard that Prince William is obsessed with Carole. She’s the mummy he always wanted.’

However, Kensington Palace issued a statement regarding the piece, writing: ‘This story contains a swathe of inaccuracies and false misrepresentations which were not put to Kensington Palace prior to publication.’

The publication has refuted the palace’s denial and claims that they had been in contact with them when putting together the feature, responding via Entertainment Tonight: ‘Tatler’s Editor-in-Chief Richard Dennen stands behind the reporting of Anna Pasternak and her sources.

‘Kensington Palace knew we were running the “Catherine the Great” cover months ago and we asked them to work together on it. The fact they are denying they ever knew is categorically false.’

Kensington Palace is yet to issue a response.

Pink prosecco is officially coming to the UK and we are so ready

https://ift.tt/2TNKI40

There are plenty of refreshing drinks on offer for gin lovers at the moment – whether you’re keen to try the Gordon’s mediterranean orange offering or the Sicilian lemon flavour. There’s also a Lidl gin festival to try a variety of new tastes and Aldi has a range of botanical gins, too.

However, if you prefer your tipple a bit bubbly you’ll be pleased to know that pink prosecco is on its way to the UK – and it sounds like a delicious dream.

The Italian government has given the green light to Prosecco DOC Consortium, the main producers in Italy, to start shipping the rosé fizz to us all. Hurrah!

Officially named Prosecco DOC Rosé, the beverage will be made with a Glera base (Prosecco grape) and between 10 to 15% Pinot Nero. The two styles will be Brut Nature and Extra Dry.

Italian wine producer, Bosco Viticultori, will be first to produce the pink sparkling drink, telling Drinks Business: ‘We will be making pink Prosecco from the 2019 harvest, which will be bottled in December. There is a temptation to get the wines ready in time for Christmas, but it’s better to take your time and make a quality product than rush it to market.

‘We have to do what the market is expecting and everyone loves pale rosés. Our goal is to make a fruity Prosecco, but not a jammy one.

‘Sparkling rosé can often be really heavy and something you’re tired of after a few glasses. We want to move away from that and make something super fresh, which has been the secret to the success of white Prosecco.’

They are looking to produce 1 million bottles and will cost between £10 to £12.

We’ll have to wait a little longer to get hold of a bottle, as they won’t hit shelves until January 1st 2021 at the earliest – however, we’re certain it’ll be worth the wait.

These Jeans were Made for Curves | Girl With Curves

You’ve probably noticed by now that denim is a major part of my wardrobe. No matter the time of year, I love a great pair of jeans, and I’m always on the lookout for the occasional pair that stands out above the rest.

My most recent denim find is one I’m really excited about, from Sofia Jeans by Sofia Vergara, a brand I’ve been wearing since it first launched at Walmart. Aside from this pair being my favorite high waisted skinny silhouette, it has a contoured waistband that highlights the waist beautifully, while sculpting curves in the most flattering way! Best of all, they’re under $30, which is an absolute steal for jeans with such an amazing fit and structured-with-stretch fabric.

Right now while we’re still sheltering in place in California, I’m prioritizing stretch fabrics for comfort, and these jeans definitely make the cut. I love that they have tons of stretch, but are structured enough to keep their shape. I recently paired them with this adorable top for an afternoon in the backyard, and I love how the outfit came together– I’m definitely going to be buying these jeans in more washes!

Summer is on its way, which means a number of things – cool summer dresses, chic sandals and Sicilian lemon flavour gin.

However, as temperature rises and you need something refreshing there’s a strong need for ice cream. Whether you want to try the M&S Percy Pig ice cream, the retro sweet ice lollies or the new Twister flavour, there really is something for everyone.

Oh, and not to forget the pink ruby chocolate Magnum.

But if you want a cooling drink in the sunshine, what’s better than a Slush Puppie? Not only will it transport you back to your childhood but they’re also just as delicious as an adult (no, you’re never too old for one).

Well, in news we didn’t know we needed until now, you can create your own icy beverage at home with the Slush Puppie maker and what a dream.

The two most popular flavours are delicious blue raspberry or tasty red cherry, and now you can make your own from the comfort of your kitchen.

If you purchase your machine from Amazon, delivery is free and it’ll set you back £49.99. Plus, it comes with the branded straws and cups so that you can really get nostalgic.

All you have to do is add ice to the machine, pop in a squeeze of your favourite syrup and it’s good to go.

Sounds like the perfect way to chill out while soaking up the rays.

We know exactly what we’ll be doing during the heatwave this weekend.

High ranking spots went to Reese Witherspoon, Michelle Obama, The Queen, Greta Thunberg and Hillary Clinton among others. The overwhelming winner however was the Duchess of Cambridge.

‘From her Hold Still photography project to a video call with a new mum and virtual bingo session with care home residents, Kate has shown just how cool and inspiring she is,’ a spokesperson said on behalf of the study.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle made news earlier this year as they stepped down from their roles as ‘senior’ members of the royal family, becoming financially independent.

It wasn’t their losing of their HRH titles or their loss of the Sussex Royal brand that made the most news however. Instead, it was their big move, with the couple relocating across the pond.

Prince Harry, Meghan Markle and baby Archie moved to Canada after the announcement and have since set up camp in Los Angeles, California, where they are currently isolating as a family of three.

The Sussex family are still renting at this point while they look for a permanent LA home, with the couple currently staying in actor Tyler Perry’s property.

According to reports however, privacy is a bit of a problem in terms of the property, with the Daily Beast claiming that the couple have reported drones over their home on multiple occasions.

According to Los Angeles Police Department records, via InStyle, an LAPD spokesperson referenced ‘an ongoing drone issue’, with the reported incidents taking place between May 9 and May 25.

‘They see these drones coming in at them, and they guess that they are being operated by photographers, but they can’t just assume that,’ an friend of Harry and Meghan’s explained to the Daily Beast. ‘Meghan received racist death threats at the time of her wedding, so the terror threat is very real for them.’

The source continued: ‘Imagine if you were in their shoes facing that, how that would feel? To have drones buzzing around 20 feet above your head when you are trying to play with your son?’

This comes after reports that the couple has had to increase their security measures, with Daily Mail reporting that the couple has even erected privacy screens around the Beverly Hills area mansion, with its close proximity to hiking trails prompting concern that hikers may be able to see inside Harry and Meghan’s home.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have not yet commented.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle made news earlier this year as they stepped down from their roles as ‘senior’ members of the royal family, becoming financially independent.

The couple lost their HRH titles and their Sussex Royal brand and moved across the pond to California with their baby Archie. The family of three will reportedly be dividing their time between England and America.

With the coronavirus pandemic putting countries on lockdown and prohibiting travel, Harry and Meghan are staying in their Los Angeles home and have been forced to cancel their plans.

This made headlines this week, as Prince Harry, Meghan Markle and baby Archie were forced to cancel their trip to the UK.

The family of three were originally scheduled to return to the UK this week to attend Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi’s wedding, set to take place on 29 May.

However, due to the pandemic and the lockdown restrictions, the nuptials have been postponed, therefore changing the Sussex family’s travel plans.

This comes after the news that Prince Harry was forced to cancel his trip to the UK for the London Marathon last month, with the Duke of Sussex usually a regular at the 26.2-mile London race. It has been postponed to Sunday 4 October 2020.

The Sussex family are sure to reschedule their travel arrangements for when Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi set a new date for their wedding.

Matthew Perry once gifted Lisa Kudrow an iconic piece of the Friends set as a sweet present

Could this BE any sweeter?

After ten years of being there for us, Friends left our screens in 2004 – leaving a Central Perk shaped hole in our hearts – and we’re still not over it. Yes it may have been 15 years since Chandler, Rachel, Ross, Monica, Phoebe and Joey made their last appearances but it still feels like it was just yesterday.

We’re still deeply invested in Rachel and Ross’ tumultuous relationship, we’ve never given up hope on Parker (Alec Baldwin) coming back into our lives, and we can’t believe how quickly the Friends children have grown up. Are we the only ones confused by our feelings for Ben now that he’s grown up and starring in Riverdale?

But it wasn’t Cole Sprouse or the revelation that one of the core six characters was almost written out of the show that made news this week. Instead it was a sweet moment between Matthew Perry and Lisa Kudrow, that involved him giving her a piece of the Friends set.

In a recent interview with Jimmy Kimmel this week, Lisa recalled how Matthew gave her the iconic clock-shaped cookie jar from Monica and Rachel’s apartment following a sweet joke they had shared about it.

‘We’re shooting a scene, years before we were finished, and my line was, “Oh! I better get going,” like, “Oh! I’m late, I better get going,”‘ Lisa explained to Jimmy, going on to recall that she wasn’t wearing a watch to go with her line, so ended up checking the clock-shaped cookie jar instead.

‘As the words were coming out, I went, “Oh, good, there’s a clock”‘, she recalled, ‘so I gestured to that, and said, “Oh! Look at the time. I gotta get going.” And during shooting, Matthew said, “Did you look at the cookie jar and say look at the time?”‘

Hilarity obviously ensued and years later when Matthew wanted to give Lisa a present as the show wrapped, he landed on the clock shaped cookie jar for nostalgia’s sake.

Taking pride of place in her house, Lisa obviously loves the gift, but recalling her immediate reaction, she claimed: ‘I think the first thing I asked was, “This was so nice – did you get permission?” I mean, my car used to get searched every night when I left.’

Well, this is lovely.
